We are nearly there with the just giving page just waiting for the comunity centre to register then I will direct a url from this page and we can start collecting. Must contact the Dover Coastguard today to get advice they have a lot on their website re unorthodox crossings. Must be quiet a few people getting out into the channel on lilos and pedalos. At least we have the support boats in hand and extra canoeists.

First Outing
We have completed our first attempt at canoeing on Wednesday evening from the port of Child Okeford to the busy metropolis of Hammoon 2 miles away. Quickly discovered that the river is very wriggly indeed, also full of trees and very shallow bits. After 1 hour we finally reached our destination of the weir at Hamoon where we ran the rapids a couple of times. By the time we got home it was 8 oclock dark and very very cold. We both fell over when we got out at the end due to unexpected cramps and old bodies.
To put you in the picture a we both have children in Dorset in the village of Child Okeford and want to raise money for the playground in our village which is in need of an overhaul. It is a great spot just out side the school grounds where parents can allow their children to let of steam after a busy day in the classroom.
Still trying to sort how best to deal with any money raised due to tax issues so any help would be invaluable.
